Main aim of this work is investigation of the short time thermal shrinkage of industrial PET monofilament in wide range of temperatures. From derivative of the kinetics of shrinkage curve the maximum shrinkage rate is evaluated. The dependence of this quantity on the temperature in the range 70 – 200 oC is described by the straight line. The slope of this line is so called maximum shrinkage rate thermal sensitivity.
