The paper is involved namely in experimental analysis of frictional behavior of woven fabric that is wrapped over metal (steel) surface. The stress is put on evaluation of eventual fabric anisotropy that can be caused by anisotropy of weave bending properties. The steel surface nature is isotropic, but internal friction, connected with fabric bending deformation, could be dependent on direction. It is assumed and later verified, that this influence is not too important and that influence of direction on frictional resistance is small.
