In this article prediction of cotton yarn strength is described. The main parameters, which have influence on yarn strength are fiber bundle strength, yarn packing density and fiber orientation; The influence of yarn technology on strength is included doe to yarn packing density. V této nové knize jsou popsána výzkumná témata z oblasti: trendy ve výrobě přírodních vláken, syntetická a přírodní vlákna, jejich vlastnosti a aplikace, procesy textilní a oděvní výroby, aplikace nanotechnologií v textilu, aplikace zajišťující konfort a podporu zdraví v textilu, inovace v textilní výrobě. V příspěvku je uvedena predikce pevnosti bavlněných přízí, která vychází z pevnosti svazku vláken, zaplnění a orintace. Zaplnění je faktorem, který vnáší do predikce vliv technologie výroby. Je možno predikovat pevnost klasických přízí prstencových česaných a mykaných, kompaktních česaných a mykaných a rotorových.
