Geometrie osy nitě ve tkanině se popisuje různými modely. Přesný popis ale není nutný z těchto důvodů: a) Skutečný tvar osy se od modelů stejně bude lišit. b) Důležitý parametr – délka nitě ve vazné vlně – závisí více na zvlnění nitě nežli na definici křivky. „Crimp“ osnovních a útkových nití lze definovat jako poměr délky osy nitě ve vazné vlně a odpovídající vlnové délky, dané roztečí nití kolmé soustavy. V příspěvku je popsána nová metoda výpočtu uvedeného parametru. Vychází z běžných modelů vazné vlny. Délka osy nitě je numericky počítána pro různé hodnoty relativního zvlnění a modelována polynomickou funkcí. Yarn axis geometry in woven fabric is ussually described by different models.Exact description of the yarn axis shape is not necessary from the reasons:a) The real wave of the yarn in fabric differs from any model. b) The length of thread axis (an important and relatively stable parameter) is more influenced by the height of crimp wave than by definition of yarn axis shape.Crimp of the warp/weft yarns could be defined as ratio of the length of yarn axis and corresponding wavelength that is determined by the spacing (pitch) of the weft/warp yarns. A new method of the crimp calculation is introduced in the contribution. It comes out of the basic geometrical models of crimp wave, the length of the yarn axis is numerically calculated for variable ratio of amplitudes and wavelengths and the results are modelled by polynomial function.
