The textile material (warp) is stressed cyclically at a relative high frequency during of the weaving process. The standard devices for testing of textile materials (dynamometers) do not allow for the extension of treads at a frequency of extension due tfor simulation of the textile materials stress during the weaving process has been devised in the Weaving Laboratory of the TU-Liberec. Theoretical part of this work deals with the influence of the threads clamping length on the elasticity modulus and deopening. The experimental parts deals with the describtion of the special testing device and its using for the analysis of the warp thread deformation behaviour from the viewpoint of the shed opening. The experimental measurements are realised fora variety of the thread clamping lengths and for a variety of the threads elongation frequencies.The results of the theoretical part and experimental part are confronted in the conclusion part of this paper. Textilní materiál (osnova) je během tkacího procesu namáhána cyklicky s realtivně vysokou frekvencí. Standardní zařízení pro zkoušení textilních materiálů neumožňují tento proces simulovat.
