The main aim of this work is prediction of fabric air permeability from predicted ideal porosities; porosities evaluated from image analysis and basic fabrics structural parameters (yarn diameters and weft/warp setts). The 27-wool/PET plain weaves withconstant sett of warp and varying sett of weft and varying yarn fineness are used for predictive model building. In the first step the principal component analysis leading to the reduction of exogenous variables space by new space of new factors is used.The multiple linear regression models are used. These models are created by the combination of partial regression graphs and suitable criterion expressing the predictive ability. The multiple linear regression model is compared with nonparametric modelcreated by neural network. Cílem práce je predikce porozity (z obrazové analýzy) a prodyšnosti vzduchu ze základních strukturních parametrů tkanin. Je použito speciálně připravených 27-vlna/PET tkanin s plátnovou vazbou. Pro vyhodnocování dat je použito metody hlavních komponent,vícenásobné regrese a neuronových sítí.
