The barrier-torch discharge stabilized by working gas flow is new tool for surface processing and thin film deposition working at the atmospheric pressure. The temperature of neutral gas flow is one of the most important parameter of the discharge that ifluences the possibility of using the discharge for various materials. Holographic interferometry method has been used for the measurements. This method measures global temperature in some cross sections of the plasma channel but it has no influence to the plasma of the discharge or to working gas flow. Furthermore it can be used for radio-frequency discharges as well. Recently the method was applied predominately to high temperature plasma, for instance arc discharge or candle flame, but it has not been applied to low temperature plasma such as barrier-torch discharge yet. Therefore we have investigated the sensitivity of the method to small changes of temperature at first.
