In the present the production rate increases, force, high-speed machine motion including dynamic effects not usually associated with traditional machine operation. By studying the different processes it is possible to extract the main characteristics of normal process state, worn tool, or any other unwanted situation or states. The interdependences and connections between measurable signals and interesting parameters and situations are often very complex and hence difficult to perceive for a human being– an operator. Artificial intelligence technologies can surely be very useful in solving problems of this nature.
