The paper compares the attempt VUJE and UJV to diagnostic (to validation) of in-reactor measurements, i.e. to measurements of neutron flux density and to measurements of core exit coolant temperature. The attempt of VUJE is slightly more precise, but for practical use very complicated. On the contrary UJV attempt is simple with competitive precision and thus better to use in practice. The paper was presented on the 8 th HOLMUG meeting (Halden On-Line Monitoring User Group), ENEA Casaccia Research Centre, Italy, 18.-19.10. 2012.
