Two RS powders of ledeburitic steels with different Nb-content have been analysed and heat processed. A high morphological variability of the as-solidified structures was observed. The annealing leads to the hardness increase in the temperature range 450 to 550 C, as a result of large precipitation of carbides from the supersaturated solid solutions.
