V roce 2004 byla v ČR národní inventura emisí z dopravy rozšířena o další škodlivinu – amoniak. Emise amoniaku z dopravy nebyly doposud v ČR měřeny. Z toho důvodu byly jako vstupní data použity údaje z International Emmision Inventory Guidebook. Výsledné emise byly kalkulovány na základě Metodiky pro výpočet emisí z dopravy. Z výsledků je patrný prudký vzestup celkového množství amoniaku. Hlavním producentem amoniaku je automobilová doprava. Výsledky odrážejí rozdíly mezi v emisních faktorech, neboť moderní vozy plnící normy EURO emitují až 50x více amoniaku než starší vozidla. Neustálá obměna vozového parku tak zapříčinila postupný růst emisí amoniaku ze 77 tun v roce 1990 až na skoro 2000 tun v roce 2003. In the 2004 year the Czech national transport-related emissions inventory was added on the next pollutant – ammonia (NH3). The ammonia emissions in exhaust gases were not measured in the Czech Republic yet. That is why, the emission factors from international Emissions Inventory Guidebook were used as input data. The final emissions were calculated according to the Czech national methodology for emissions calculation from transport. From the calculated results it is evident that the total mass of ammonia increased rapidly. The car transport is the dominant producer of ammonia. The results reflect the differences in emission factors because newer cars fulfilling EURO standards emit up to 50-times more ammonia than older cars. Thus the gradual modification of vehicle fleet results in year-to-year increasing of ammonia emissions, from 77 tons in 1990 to almost 2000 tones in 2003.
