dcterms:description
Energy overproduction is one of the problems in the world. The project “Reversible Storage of Energy” investigates possibilities of using of the rock environment for storing electrical energy. The one of the aims of this project was to find rock which its structure is resistant to repeated heating. The studied granites and rhyolites seem to be the most suitable rock materials for this purpose. Impact of thermal heating on the open porosity, hydraulic conductivity and ultrasonic wave velocities of these rock types was negligible. Energy overproduction is one of the problems in the world.
