The laboratory prototype targets the development of applications with FPGAs that allows students to work remotely with the equipment located in a school laboratory the similar way as they work in normal full-presence mode. For the remote work scenario, the VLAM infrastructure provides access to the laboratory by virtual desktop machines that are connected to the laboratory equipment through Ethernet or “USB over Ethernet” bridges.
