dcterms:description
The foot has passed through a long development from animal predecessors to its current form in humans. The presence of several structures is an atavism, but in total the current human foot is a beautifully functioning, ingeniously constructed apparatus, perfectly serving man during the active phases of his life. A correctly shaped foot without defects and damage has become a rare exception today. Our modern way of life and selection of footwear according to fashion trends and price rather than functionality and quality has contributed to this.
