This paper deals with the problems of market orientation. Its aim is to inform about the research of market orientation in the Czech Republic and the main results of two surveys in the field of market orientation in Czech companies. The surveys were proceeded by special questionnaires. The firs part of paper is focused on theoretical aspects of market orientation and the second part describes the objects of surveys and data acquisition methodology. Finally, the last part explains our new project %22Research on the Implementation of Market Orientation in Hi-Tech Firms%22 supported by the Grant Agency Czech Republic (GA 402/07/1493).
