In this paper, ICP prepared by Innovene technology was fractionated using successive extraction with alkane solvents and four different fractions were obtained. In addition, ICP material was divided into two more fractions by dissolving it in hot xylene and cooling polymer solutions to room temperature. The molecular structure of the individual fraction was characterized using FTIR, 13C NMR spectroscopy, SEC and DSC methods. The xylene soluble fraction was found to contain mainly ethylene-propylene rubber and a minor portion of atactic polypropylene. The xylene insoluble fraction was found to contain isotactic polypropylene homopolymer with a small amount of polyethylene homopolymer.
