This article deals with three different factors which can influence the accuracy of measured stress-strain data. In terms of computational simulations of experiments the influence of: spacing between clamps, dimension of the specimen and distance of reference length was studied. Simulations showed that some factors have substantial influence on measuring data. Obtained information was used for improvement of the accuracy in real experiments, which were realized on the mechanical testing machine Camea.
