The software serves as a tool for simulation of biomass and municipal solid waste drying in a fixed-bed experimental reactor. The fuel layer is considered as a porous media which is heated by primary air from the bottom of the bed and a heating element as the over-bed radiation source. Heat and mass transfer of gas and solid phases is governed by a system of transient one-dimensional partial differential equations. The software solves the system numerically using the finite volume method. It is written in the MATLAB programming language.
