The paper deals with modeling of magnetic clutch dynamic behavior by numerical model that would be able to describe the clutch behavior both under the normal operating conditions and in case of failure, especially when the maximum torque was exceeded. Experience from modeling of the electric machines, especially experience from the area of modeling of the synchronous machine with the permanent magnets on the rotor, principle of which is very similar to the principle of operation of the magnetic clutch, were used in creation of this model. Unknown parameters of model are identified by genetic algorithm method .
