Higher moisture content and thermal bridges in masonry structures are very negative factors causing degradation of physical and even mechanical properties of building materials. From point of view of interior environment properties Degradation of physical and mechanical properties of building materials has effect on durability of the whole structure. Appearance of thermal moistures troubles can often caused degradation of interior environment and moisture maps and mould formation. Easy assessment and localization of moisture content in brickwork and temperature field on the construction surface is often relatively difficult. It is possible relatively precisely, non destructive and quickly asses distribution of temperature and moisture on area of building structure. The biggest advantage is easy creation of moisture map on structure in dependence on time. Very useful method for determination of moisture distribution in construction can be infrared (IR) thermography.
