New possibilities for different waste materials used as fillers in various polymer and polymer-cement based coatings are presented in this paper. Among various types of utilizable waste materials, we can classify wastes from quarries (wastes from washing of crushed aggregates), wastes from lime burning (lime dust), power plant fly-ash, foundry sand, and many other materials. One of the main goals of the research was to find the optimum quantity of individual waste materials, which wouldn’t change the declared properties of a particular coating. The exploitation of waste materials is advantageous for environmental reasons and also provides economic savings New possibilities for different waste materials used as fillers in various polymer and polymer-cement based coatings are presented in this paper.
