A UWB technology in the radar technique and communications is analyzed. The multipath effects in the time domain signal representation should be considered for the UWB systems, which are due to ground, wall and nearby objects. A program for was created to model this multipath propagation. It is concluded that multiple reflections and multipath effects are much smaller for UWB signals than for CW narrow-band applications as interference minima and maxima do not occur for the same frequencies. Analyzuje se UWB technika pro radary a komunikace. Vlivy šíření více cestami, které jsou vlivem země, zdí a sousedních objektů, se musí uvažovat pro UWB systémy v časové oblasti. Byl vytvořen program pro modelování šíření více cestami. Lze shrnout, že šíření více cestami a násobnými odrazy jsou mnohem menší pro UWB systémy než pro CW úzkopásmové aplikace, neboť interferenční minima a maxima se nevyskytují pro stejné frekvence
