dcterms:description
This article deals with the question of agglomerative effects. These effects rise in the specific territory in connection with the concentration of activities (e.g. establishing clusters). It is concerned with the external returns to scale that is the effects that firms and other subjects (public sector) do not achieve in the internal way (e.g. by means of production technology). Otherwise it is the exogenous advantages that the firm obtains if it is localized in a specific territory. Consequently they decrease costs and give a competitive advantage to the firm that is localized in this territory. The growth of the competitiveness of firms exercises influence on the development of the region, what could be generally understood as the growth of competitiveness of region.
