The aim of our research was to examine the influence of the synthesis conditions on the formation of Mg-Sr-pyrophosphate, followed by the investigation of the properties and anticorrosion action of the obtained samples. The MgSrP2O7 samples were synthesised via high temperature solid state reaction with homogenization of initial components via different modified methodics. Obtained results were evaluated with respect to the samples composition, thermal stability, particles size distribution, optical properties and pH- and resistivity of pigment aqua extracts.
