The aim of this work was the preparation of photon up-converters based on the Er3+ doped Ga-Ge-Sb-S amorphous chalcogenides. The materials can be potentially applicable in telecommunications, lasers and for enhancement of silicon solar cell efficiency. The dependence of intensities of PL bands ratios on the composition of samples as well as glass reabsorption and thermal effects are discussed.
