Micrometre- and submicrometre-scale test patterns were successfully imprinted into the surface of high refractive index As2S7 or AsS2 bulk glasses. Imprinting was simple and involved only heating of a glass disc placed on the surface of a polymer stamp. Imprinting of bulk glasses shows great promise for the reproducible fabrification of optical and photonic devices.
