Photo-expansion of the bulk of (GeS2)0.74(Sb2S3)0.26 glass induced by sub-gap photons is studied employing specifically Atomic Force Microscopy namely an Atomic Force Acoustic Microscopy (AFAM) and a Force Spectroscopy and Digital Holographic Microscopy. The results are discussed with respect to the possible role of light induced overheating in the process of photo-expansion.
