Voltametric determination of synthetic antioxidant 2,6-di-tert-4-methylphenol (BHT) in an organic isopropanol solvent in the presence of 0,1 mol.l-1 H2SO4 using a gold working electrode and method of DCvoltammetry was tested. It was found that the method provides a range of concentrations of 5,48 mg/l to 43,84 mg/l of a linear response to the fixed amount. The quantification limit is 3,82 mg/l and detection limit is 2,62 mg/l respectively.
