16 isolates of G- aerotolerant, spiral shaped bacteria isolated from different matrix (fresch chicken meat, waste water from meat concerting plants, environmental sample from poultry farm in Czech Republic) were identificated by multiplex PCR assay. 15 strains examinated bacteria were confirmed as Arcobacter butzleri, 1 strain was confirmed as Arcobacter cryaerophilus. These isolates were further identified by the sequencing of 16S rDNA and intergenic region between 16S and 23S rDNA genes. Bacterial DNA was isolated using GenElute Bacterial DNA Kit (Sigma). The 16S rDNA and intergenic spacer was amplified by PCR using universal bacterial primers. The PCR product was isolated from agarose gel by TaKaRa RECOCHIP (TaKaRa, Japan), consequently cleaned using PCR ClenUp Kit (Pure Biotech, USA) and directly sequenced. The dye terminator sequencing was used for all sequencing analyses with ABI DT v. 3.1 Kit (Applied Biosystems, USA) on the ABI-3100 Avant four-capillary DNA sequencer (Applied Biosystems, USA).
