Minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 21 various natural substances for microorganisms contaminating boar raw ejaculates were obtained. MICs of substances (Carvacrol, Cnicin, Thymol, Rosemary acid, Cvercetin, Arbitin, Catechinhydrate, Berberine Disulphate, Gallic acid, Ethylgallate, Propylgallate, Methylgallate, Hydrochinon, Hydrochinon-Methylether, Caryophilli aetheroleum, Carvi aetheroleum, Foeniculi aetheroleum, Lavandulae aetheroleum, Eucalypti aetheroleum, Rosmarini aetheroleum and Therebinthinae aetheroleum) extended in 5% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were determined by broth dilution method. Cnicin, Carvacrol, Thymol, Ethylgallate and Hydrochinon exerted good effects on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Gram negative microbes. MICs of these substances ranged from 600-2400 g/ml depending on bacterial species. Thymol (MIC 1200-2400 g/ml) and Carvacrol (MIC 1200 g/ml) were the most effective substances used against Enterococcus faecalis. These substances exerted satisfactory effects also against Minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 21 various natural substances for microorganisms contaminating boar raw ejaculates were obtained. MIC těchto látek se pohybovaly v rozmezí 600-2400 ug/ml v závislosti na bakteriálním druhu. Thymol (MIC 1200-2400 ug/ml) and Carvacrol (MIC 1200 ug/ml) byly nejúčinnější z látek proti Enterococcus faecalis. Tyto látky vykazovaly rovněž vynikající účinek na stafylokoky (300-600 ug/ml).
