When making our choices within predefined choice sets, our preferences can be shifted by expanding said choice sets with supposedly irrelevant alternatives. This lecture introduces audience to the concept of asymmetrically dominated alternatives in choice sets, explains several possible mechanisms of this effect and encourages audience who deal with choice and decision making to consider including asymmetrical dominance paradigm into their own research. Excerption of author's own research findings on this topic are presented and discussed.
