Higher primary school pupils belong among groups that are naturally in risk of substance abuse. There are numerous reasons for this phenomena. Therefore, a preventive programme has been developped several years ago. It was followed by a 3 year cohort study to evaluate its influence. Twenty worksheets for teachers and pupils were designed. These worksheets can be freeely downloaded from the University web pages. There were over 300 pupils from 10 schools involved (Brno, Blansko, Boskovice). Two groups were formed-post-intervention and cohort. The results proved that the programme managed to postpone the onset of risk behaviour for 1-2 years.
