In present study we aimed at effect betaHCH as stress factor in maize plants. Primarily we focused on monitoring of growth and thiol compounds content (cystein Cys, reduced GSH and oxigenate GSSG glutathion, and phytochelatin PC2). On the basis of experiment we discovered, that betaHCH influence not only germinability of maize caryopsis, but also the growth of maize plants, wher is very stimulating on plant growth. It was also determined, that with increasing concentration is the plant producing less biomass and is receiving more water. In other experiments was studyd the content of thiol groups in plants.
