A flow injection extraction of aluminium with 8-hydroxyquinoline into methylisobutylketone and extraction with acetylacetone were studied. A separated organic phase from the membrane phase separator was injected into an electrothermal atomizer and atomic absorption of aluminium at 309.3 nm was measured. The optimised FIE/ET-AAS procedure was applied for the determination of Al in dialysis solutions.
