dcterms:description
For studying the disruption, we used new in vitro method with the cell line P19/A15. It is murine embryonal P19 cell line stably transfected with luciferase reporter gene under the control of RARE (Retinoic Acid Responsive Element). Xenobiotics potentially interacting with the retinoid signaling can either induce luciferase expression and/or negatively affect retinoic acid (ATRA)-induced luciferase activity. For our study we selected the group of PAH and their N-heterocyclic analogs especially for their widespread environmental occurrence and possible teratogenic effects. We tested 13 N-PAHs and 6 PAHs for retinoid and antiretinoid activity. For studying the disruption, we used new in vitro method with the cell line P19/A15.
