Water bloom forming cyanobacteria are dominant in the summer phytoplnakton in an eutrophic reservoir Brno, Czech Republic. Microcystis aeruginosa was a dominant together with Aphanisomenon flow-aquae, A.lemmermannii, Microcystis ichthyoblabe and M. wesenbergii at the begining of summer period. In July Microcystis auruginosa sudenly disappeared, and Microcystis wesenbrgii became dominant. Microcystis wesenbergii is not the typical species forming mass developments but was described in this extraordinary situation.
