By its very own nature, stress is closely connected with grief. W.H.O. (1993) also connects stress& grief (ICD 10 / F.42). Our working hypothesis presumed, that we can anticipate and confront Grief as it would be Stress. In an incident of a child death (from fatal illness) in a Greek family we addressed grief mainly with Stress Reduction Techniques (SRT) in an effort to support family. Also we monitored grief levels indirectly using Stress assessment. We also tried to support the same way the child s teacher. Indications both from observation and the assessments were encouraging. During this study we also developed the PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) -GR using double blind & reverse translation to create a Greek language version out of the original PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) 10 - En.
