This paper deals with the historic development of general duty of directors to excercise their range of powers with due managerial care. The author attempts to consider this general duty of director from the historic view, to define it and compare with the professional care at the mandatory. In conclusion the author says that the duty of director to excercise their range of powers with due managerial care is larger and much more severe than the duty to act with the professional care. Tento příspěvek se věnuje historickému vývoji obecné povinnosti jednatele jednat s péčí řádného hospodáře. Tuto obecnou povinnost jednatele se snaží autor jednak zastihnout v jejím historickém vývoji, definovat ji a dále ji i porovnat s odbornou péči u mandatáře. Na závěr autor konstatuje, že povinnost jednatele jednat s péčí řádného hospodáře je mnohem širší a tak přísnější než povinnost jednat s odbornou péčí. Tento příspěvek se věnuje historickému vývoji obecné povinnosti jednatele jednat s péčí řádného hospodáře. Tuto obecnou povinnost jednatele se snaží autor jednak zastihnout v jejím historickém vývoji, definovat ji a dále ji i porovnat s odbornou péči u mandatáře.
