Within the framework of conversation analysis, the paper focuses on the discourse markers used by the fictional character Winnie the Pooh and its objective is to prove that the hired Pooh in Hoff's The Tao of Pooh (1982) is linguistically more matured character than the original Pooh in Milne's Winnie the Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928).
