dcterms:description
Human fungal pathogen Cryptococus neoformans was examined by rhodamine-phalloidin and DAPI staining to identify actin cytoskeleton structures and nuclei. Saccharomyces and Schizosaccharomyces were used as controls.Spherical cells of C. neoformans revealed dense intracellular network of actin microfilament cables, oriented to developing bud. ASctin patches were accumulated at area of the growing bud, but also present in mother cells. Actin ring appeared in the neck region between mother and daughter cell. C. neoformans has well developed yeast actin cytoskeleton with specific features.
