The aim of the study was to find changes in systolic variability and heart rate variability, and so indirectly shown changes in reflex sympathetic and parasympathetic activity.These data provide evidence for a prehypertensive state and an impaired reflex control of blood pressure. Higher systolic blood pressure and variability of SBP together with decreased baroreflex gain factor could indicate increased sympathetic activity. Decreased gain factor in respiratory region could indicate decreased parasympathetic activity. Results showed impaired both tonic and reflex control of blood pressure and they implied higher risk factors for future cardiovascular complications in obese subjects. Cílem studie bylo najít změny ve variabilitě systolického tlaku (STK) a variabilitě tepových intervalů (TI) a tak nepřímo ukázat změny v reflexní aktivitě sympatiku a parasympatiku. Data naznačují prehypertenzní stadium zhoršenou kontrolu krevního tlaku u obézních dětí. Vyšší hodnoty průměrného STK a variability STK společně s poklesem baroreflexního faktoru zesílení může naznačovat zvýšenou sympatickou aktivitu. Pokles respiračního faktoru zesílení může indikovat sníženou parasympatikou aktivitu. Výsledky ukázaly zhoršenou jak tonickou tak reflexní kontrolu krevního tlaku.
