dcterms:description
In this chapter, we summarize the main features of post-socialist suburbanization based on the evidence presented in seven cases studies. We highlight the commonalities of the phenomenon related to its historical evolution, growth dynamics and trends, and spatial patterns. We discuss further the presence of intra-regional variations and review a set of key factors accounting for the differences in the patterns and processes of suburbanization across Central and East European metropolitan areas.
