The purpose of this study was to introduce stereological methods that may be used for the quantification of immunohistochemical staining, namely intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1).Stereological methods proved to be useful for the quantification of immunohistochemistry and can be used for an objective characterization of atherogenic changes in atherosclerosis. Úkolem studie bylo posoudit vhodné stereologické metody pro intracelulární adhezi molekul (ICAM-1) a vaskulární adhezi molekul (VCAM-1).
