The authors examined cranial arteries with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and three-dimensional DSA (3D DSA) in 52 patients in 2002. They detected 39 intracranial aneurysms. In 30 aneurysms, 3D DSA provided more detailed information than DSA about the anatomical relationships of the aneurysms, which was in 7 aneurysms decisive for the selection of the therapeutic approach.
