Nine partners of the EMRP project %22T2.J06: Increasing cancer treatment efficacy using 3D brachytherapy%22 studied a total of ten different dosimetry systems based on different detection methods (2D array of ionization chambers, set of ionizing chambers, liquid ionization chamber, radiochromic gel dosimeters, radiochromic films, thermoluminiscent dosimeters, alanine dosimeters, scintillation detectors, lithium formate dosimeters, and semiconductor diodes) for their use in 3D dosimetry of brachytherapy sources. The contribution describes the main individual aspects and characteristics of each system.
