In 2009 and 2010, field trials with proso millet under conditions of organic and conventional growing systems were performed. In both systems, the same design with catch crops was used. During vegetative period, selected morphological and phenological traits were evaluated in the field conditions. After harvest, the analyses of fat quality and quantity were done. From the results is clear that neither growing condition system nor catch crops influenced quantity of fat in grains. The used catch crop influenced the content of stearic and eicosenoic acid.
