Sulfate-O values were measured in spruce canopy throughfall and soil water in Krusne hory Mts. Sulfate-O in soil water was isopically lighter than sulfate-O in throughfall, on average by 1.9 promile (SMOW). Previous studies in Krusne hory Mts. have shown that sulfate-S and nitrate-N in soil water are also isotopically lighter compared to spruce canopy throughfall.
