The second objective was to examine the effect of psilocin on working and reference memory in the Morris water maze (MWM). Male Wistar rats were divided into three groups, a control goup and two experimental groups. Experimental groups received two different doses (1 mg/kg and 4 mg/kg) of psilocin and control group received an adequate volume of saline. Results demonstrated that the lower dose of psilocin disrupted sensorimotor gating in PPI paradigm. Both doses decreased locomotor activity in the open-field.
