The evaluation of the proposals of grant projects is performed on the basis of %22peer review%22, in the case of standard grant proposals, by at least 3 independent experts, with at least one out of them being from abroad. The reviewers are chosen by the branch council. The following criteria are especially watched when evaluating the proposed projects: the scientific value and originality of the project, the capability of the applicant and his team to be successful in developing the project (the quality of prior work), and the adequacy of financial requirements and effectiveness of the project. The evaluation of the additional grant proposals also results from the outside reviews and further pieces of information obtained within the framework of the public contest, having been the reason for supporting the original (complemented) project, and from the monitoring of its resolving. Hodnocení návrhů grantových projektů je prováděno na základě %22peer review%22, v případě žádostí o standardní granty nejméně 3 nezávislých posuzovatelů, z nichž alespoň jeden je zahraniční. Posuzovatele vybírá oborová rada a na základě jejich posudků a vlastního projednání určuje pořadí podaných grantových přihlášek. Při posuzování navrhovaných projektů jsou sledována především tato kritéria: vědecká hodnota projektu a jeho originalita, způsobilost navrhovatele a jeho týmu dosáhnout úspěchu při řešení s ohledem na dosavadní vědecké výsledky navrhovatele, přiměřenost finančních požadavků a efektivnost projektu. Hodnocení přihlášek doplňkových grantů vychází také z oponentských posudků a dalších informací získaných v rámci veřejné soutěže, na jejímž základě byl udělen grant kmenovému (doplňovanému) projektu, a z hodnocení dosavadního průběhu řešení tohoto projektu.

The application may be submitted by any person with place of permanent residence and employment in the Czech Republic. The applicant can ask for a grant on his own or as a representative of a research team. The structure as well as the size of the team must correspond to the character of the project and to the expected amount of activities. The applicant and his team must document their professional qualifications to meet the targets of the project along with the respective technical equipment in the application. All applicants must have the institutional support of their employer (i.e., especially wages for team members) to complete the proposed project. Apart from these general conditions, specific ones are established for particular categories an types of grants. GA AV reserves the right to reject any application that does not meet the conditions of the grant contest, that gives incorrect or incomplete data or its content or form does not correspond to the stipulated requirements. Žádost o grant může podat každá fyzická osoba s trvalým pobytem a pracovištěm v ČR. Navrhovatel může žádat o grant sám nebo jako představitel řešitelského týmu. Složení a velikost týmu musí být přiměřené povaze projektu a očekávanému objemu prací. Odborné předpoklady navrhovatele a řešitelského týmu splnit cíle projektu a tomu odpovídající technické vybavení musí být doloženy v žádosti. Navrhovatelé musí mít zajištěnu od svého zaměstnavatele institucionální podporu pro řešení projektu (tj. především mzdy členů týmu). Vedle těchto obecných podmínek jsou stanoveny pro jednotlivé kategorie a typy grantů další specifické podmínky podrobně uvedené ve zveřejněných informacích o soutěži. U žádostí o doplňkové granty jsou to zejména podmínky týkající se návaznosti na kmenový projekt. GA AV má právo odmítnout přihlášku, která nesplňuje podmínky grantové soutěže, uvádí nesprávné či neúplné údaje nebo její obsah či forma neodpovídá stanoveným požadavkům.

Po ukončení veřejné soutěže a schválení výsledků jsou všichni účastníci písemně informováni o úspěšnosti jimi navrhovaných projektů. Názvy podporovaných projektů i jména a pracoviště navrhovatelů jsou zveřejňovány na internetových stránkách GA AV. After the public contest has been completed and its results sanctioned, all participants are informed in writing about the success of their projects. Basic information about supported projects will be published on Internet website of GA AV.

Přihlášky lze podávat pouze písemně, ve stanoveném termínu, na příslušných formulářích, a to v úplných souborech listů. Musí být podepsány navrhovatelem, případnými spolunavrhovateli a statutárními zástupci příslušných organizací a opatřeny razítky. The grant applications are to be submitted in written form only, within a given term, on specified forms and in a complete set of folios. They must be signed by the applicants and statutory representatives of the respective organizations.
