dcterms:description
The project concerns theoretical analysis, development of approximate and rigorous tools, extensive modelling, design and optimization of ed advanced subwavelength photonics structures, namely (but not exclusively): photonic crystals and their combination with nanostructures, subwavelength-scale photonic components, plasmonic structures, metamaterials, and slow-wave and coupled-cavity structures. Both linear and nonlinear wave phenomena and optical properties in such structures will be studied using broad expertise within the Optical physics group at DPE FNSPE, CTU in Prague, including both fully competitive in-house and generally available numerical tools, based on such numerical methods as Plane Wave Expansion (PWE) method, Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method, Aperiodic Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis (ARCWA), and Bidirectional Mode Propagation and matching (BEP) method. The methods developed, implemented, and applied will be used for modelling and design of ed subwavelength structures wit Nové fyzikální poznatky o subvlnových fotonických strukturách, teoretická analýza a modelování těchto struktur, vytvoření nových efektivních modelovacích numerických nástrojů pro popis struktur, vytvoření funkčních laboratorních vzorků vybraných struktur
